On July 5, become an “urban sketcher” in downtown Dover!  No experience is necessary, all ages are welcome, and the activity is free, though pre-registration is requested

    Register here:

    Or click here to register

Vivienne Cameron, certified art teacher, art therapy life coach, and one of the administrators of Urban Sketchers Delaware, will lead the activity. Vivienne will talk about urban sketching, show materials and samples, and then participants will take to the streets for a mini “sketch crawl” to sketch with pencil, marker, paint, or any medium they choose. Ms. Cameron will provide additional instruction and tips to those with limited experience, and then they too will join in drawing outdoors. At the end of the crawl the work will be displayed and photographed. The entire activity will be 2 to 2.5 hours. The Downtown Dover Partnership (DDP) is providing this visual Arts Alive at Five sketching activity in preparation for an October “plein air” (outdoor) painting event.

This event will be held in conjunction with Downtown Dover First Friday’s Arts Alive at Five!

Check DelawareScene.org for plein air art demos and activities in downtown Dover every First Friday.

Questions may be directed to Diane Laird at Diane@DowntownDoverPartnership.com or 302-678-2940
