  • Delaplaine Arts Center, Frederick, Maryland
A workshop for intermediate to professional artists, designed to uplift and advance the artist to their next level. Plein air presents more variables than any other type of painting. Learn insights, thought processes, tips and techniques from a master painter: From where to paint, defining your subject and composition to identifying potential problems & solving them before you touch your canvas. Learn to hone your concept quickly and execute paintings with greater confidence. Get the keys to unlocking your amazing artistic insight from within and increase your confidence and efficiency in plein air. After an introductory talk and demonstration the class will paint exercises and paintings en plein air including limited and expanded palettes and enhanced brush vocabulary. Demonstrations, individual attention and daily review will build upon each day’s progress. Be prepared to work and also to enjoy the process and take away an improved dialog and self support system. A personal and inspiring instructor, absolutely passionate about all things creative, he  has developed a teaching method that accelerates the learning process in art, regardless of subject matter or medium.
