An Outdoor Plein Air Event and Exhibition
The first ever “Paint Out Westminster” will be held in conjunction with Westminster’s ever popular Flower and Jazz Festival on historic Main St. This is a wonderful opportunity for artists to create work in a community setting including an exhibition opportunity. This event will be held rain or shine.

ELIGIBILITY: Artists 18 and older are invited to participate. A $5 entry fee is required of all artists.
CHECK IN, LOCATION and SET UP: Artists will be placed in picturesque and historic spots from the Carroll Arts Center to the 100 block of E. Main St. General location placement will be determined by lottery numbers drawn at the Carroll Arts Center during artists check in on Friday, May 11 from 10 am-6 pm. Artists will receive a map and name tag, set up times, parking passes and exhibit information at that time. All participating artists must pre-register.
ARTISTS MUST BRING: All your own equipment, easels, chairs, art materials and appropriate clothing for the weather and a lunch. CCAC will provide a bottle of water and snacks. We will try to secure, but cannot guarantee, parking close to each painting spot.
EXHIBIT: Part of our mission is to provide exhibition and earning opportunities for artists. An exhibition of the works created at “Paint Out Westminster” will be in the Community Gallery from May 17-June 11. All work to go in the exhibit must be brought to the art center immediately after the Saturday paint out. Further show details will be given out at the artist check in on Friday, May 11.
