The National Art Honor Society of The John Carroll School will be hosting a Paint out on the Estate of Eugene Leake past president of The Maryland Institute College of Art.  View the vistas that inspired Eugene Leake and tour his studio where he painted on the estate. 
Eugenes "paintings themselves are modest and unpretentious, as is the subject matter, unremarkable views of the Maryland landscape; yet Leake manages to transform them into idyllic views conveying a mood combining peace and tranquillity with familiarity and homeliness, even to the stranger." except form Maryland Landscapes of Eugene Leake by Craig Harkin 1986

Paint on the adjoining property of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Dukes as well, with a critique at the end of the day by...It's a surprise so come out and join us for a great day of painting and drawing with a small cookout to follow.  Please bring a small covered dish, for the afternoon.  Deadline for Registration is October 10, 2011. Proceeds go to the National Art Honor Society of The John Carroll School for Scholarships.
