MAPAPA Second Sunday Paint Out - September 9, 2018
Due to weather forecast of rain tomorrow morning and flash flood warnings (this location is on Susquehanna river bank) we will be cancelling paintout tomorrow. We also have no registrations as of 9/8 4pm.
Host: Beth Bathe, Secretary MAPAPA
Where: Columbia River Park
When: Sunday, September 9, 2018
Meeting time and place: 9:00 am
The Columbia Wrightsville Bridge is a splendid example of the graceful multiple-span, reinforced-concrete arched form popular in early 20th Century highway bridges in the United States and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and also a Historic Civil Engineering Landmark. We will meet here in the morning for a morning painting. We will gather in parking lot closest to bridge.
Across the river in Marietta is another splendid view of the bridge from the John Wright Restaurant, 234 N Front St, Wrightsville, PA 17368. If there is enough interest we can venture over there for lunch and maybe another painting.
Please check in with the host at the designated meeting time and place so that they know you are there. If come early and set up to paint, or get there late, please be mindful that it is up to you to find other artists if you want to meet up with them. It is so easy to miss each other in public spaces with large or no boundaries. Thank you!
There is no rain date for this event.
