Cape Ann Plein Air 2018
New England’s premier plein air competition, Cape Ann Plein Air (CAPA), returns to Massachusetts’ stunning north shore, 25 coastal miles up from Boston. For centuries artists including Fitz Henry Lane, Winslow Homer, and Edward Hopper painted their masterpieces here. America’s birthplace of plein air painting, Cape Ann offers unique light and compelling subjects: rustic farms, tidal marshes, historic homes, rugged beaches, rocky shores, working harbors, and magnificent fishing fleets.
