MAPAPA is offering a 3 day workshop with David Lussier for the very special, members only price of $210 (non-members cost $325). The workshop will take place in Snow Hill, MD, April 18, 19 and 20, 2011. Participation is limited to 15.

Registration requires a $100 deposit, with the balance due 30 days prior to the event.  The deposit is 85% refundable if you cancel 6 weeks before the event.

David was featured in the July 2010 issue of American Artist Magazine. Stephen Doherty wrote “ While studying the great artists of Cape Ann, MA he learned to develop Plein Air  paintings that identify atmosphere and mood without depending on tedious details.”

David has twice won “Best of Show” at the Annual Wayne Plein Air Festival in addition to other awards.

David and his wife Pam, who is also a very accomplished painter, are highly sought after workshop instructors. They work together to teach the building blocks of landscape painting while nurturing each persons individual style and personality. They believe “Every good landscape painting is rooted in sound painting principles and the truth that we find in nature. In order for a painting to be of personal expression, the artist must infuse it with his or her own imagination, personality and inventiveness. We work with each student toward this important goal.” http://www.davidlussiergallery.com

We are planning a Wine Tasting Social on Tuesday the 19th, hosted by Ann Coates of Bishops Stock Gallery in Snow Hill. Music will be provided provided by David, an accomplished singer/guitarist and everyone will be welcome to participate.

We also want to give special thanks to Ann Coates for enthusiastically supporting this workshop. Her help in facilitating the event has been invaluable. If you are interested in participating in Paint Snow Hill on the weekend before the workshop you can email Ann through her website and ask to be put on the waiting list for this fun event. http://bishopsstock.com/

Nearby Pocomoke River State Park has affordable Cabins. If you are interested in possibly sharing a Cabin with other workshop participants, please send an email to grp@chesapeake.net and we will share your contact info with others who are also interested.
